Giddy for Goulash

Homemade easy goulash. Original recipe I found on AllRecipes.com check out my version below! Simple and inexpensive and plenty for leftovers the next day or two!

1lb beef or ground turkey
1-1/2 cups uncooked macaroni pasta
1 can tomato sauce
1 can diced tomatoes
1-3/4 tablespoons soy sauce
1-3/4 tablespoons minced garlic
3 bay leaves
1 tablespoon Italian herb seasoning
1 medium sized onion
1 green bell pepper
1/2 cup Italian dressing
1/3 cup hot sauce
3 cups water
1/3 cup ketchup
Salt and pepper

Brown meat on skillet until no longer pink season with salt and pepper.
Drain excess fat and add chopped onion and green pepper. Sauté until onions are almost translucent.
Add all other ingredients except for the pasta. Simmer on low for about 20 minutes.
You can add pasta to this skillet if large enough. Otherwise I transferred all ingredients to a large pot. Simmer for about 25 minutes until pasta is tender or longer if desired.
I served this over a scoop of mashed potatoes and with crescent rolls.

Easy to make and spent about $15 all together. Delicious and great for cool November nights!
